Nilanthan Niruthan, Executive Director of CLASS, is a defense analyst specializing in global security. He is a regular commentator on television and radio, having appeared on international platforms like WION and Al Jazeera to discuss geopolitics. His writing has covered diverse issues like hybrid warfare, maritime piracy, international law, space warfare, military technology, and urban insurgency for publications like the Johns Hopkins Journal of International Affairs, Journal of Military Operations, Small Wars Journal, and the Columbia Journal of International Affairs. He is also a visiting lecturer at the National Defense College, the highest seat of military education in Sri Lanka. He graduated with an LL.M. in Human Rights Law from the National Law School of India, Bangalore.
